Bishop Frederick O. Jones
Founder & Senior Pastor
Bishop Frederick O. Jones is the esteemed Founder and Senior Pastor of New Life Community Baptist Church (NLCBC) in Gainesville, Virginia. Guided by divine purpose and an unwavering commitment to ministry, he has dedicated his life to reaching the unchurched and restoring hope to the downtrodden, brokenhearted, and rejected.

On July 6, 2002, Bishop Jones answered God’s call by establishing NLCBC, a ministry built on faith, service, and community. Under his leadership, the church has become a pillar of outreach, offering support through volunteer work at assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and food shelters, as well as mentoring youth through leadership programs.

As the founder and presiding Bishop of the New Life Fellowship of Churches, Bishop Jones has been anointed to expand God’s Kingdom by planting churches, building schools, and establishing institutions that transform communities. His mission is to empower believers and bring lasting change—one community at a time, both locally and globally.

Since 2016, God has blessed Bishop Jones and the New Life Fellowship of Churches with a thriving ministry in Sierra Leone. Their work has provided aid to the homeless, fed thousands of families, and empowered individuals through education and skill-building programs. With the support of valued partners like Apostle Hammond and CBC Ministries, this mission continues to change lives and offer hope to the people of Sierra Leone.
A passionate preacher and Kingdom builder, Bishop Jones remains committed to fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19), bringing truth to power and advancing the Gospel worldwide.

Beyond ministry, Bishop Jones is a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, First Lady Lisa Antoinette Jones. Together, they cherish their daughters, Nicole Mayfield and Tiara Jones, their son-in-love, Ray Mayfield, and their three beautiful granddaughters, Sophia, Isabella, and Olivia Mayfield.
A native of Louisa County, Virginia, Bishop Jones is the youngest of eight siblings. He holds an Associate’s degree from Kee Business College and is a graduate of the Eastern Theological Center.

Bishop Jones’ heart for people reflects Jeremiah 3:15 (NLT): “I will give you leaders after my own heart, who will guide you with knowledge and understanding.” His greatest desire is to see people through the eyes of Christ and lead them into a life of purpose, restoration, and faith.
