Minister Lisa A. Jones
First Lady & Associate Minister
Minister Lisa A. Jones is an anointed strong woman of God who has illustrated her love for God through her life testimony. She is the First Lady of the New Life Community Baptist Church where God has allowed her to use her gifts of teaching, evangelizing, and ministering through praise and worship. As a pastor’s wife, she demonstrates the essence of a virtuous woman to the Sisters of Faith ministry at NLCBC. Through that ministry, she has organized prayer breakfasts and other events to share advice and uplift the women of God.
She accepted her calling to the ministry and was then licensed on December 9, 2006, after many years of preaching at various churches in the local area.
Despite the physical struggles that she has endured, she truly knows God as a healer and believes that everything that she has been through was all to bring glory to God by sharing with others that God is still working miracles. So many people have been encouraged to believe God in whatever they are going through because of her testimony.
She has been blessed to be married for 34 years to Pastor Frederick Jones. They have two beautiful daughters, Nicole Mayfield and Tiara Jones, son-in-love, Ray Mayfield, and two grandchildren, Sophia and Isabela Mayfield. Her parents, Pastor Robert and Elder Alice Christmas raised her up in church for which she is very thankful.
One of her favorite scriptures is Psalm 34:1. I will bless The Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Prentices answered his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Friday, March 10, 2006. He preached his initial sermon entitled "Appreciating God's Initial Gift" from John 3:16 on December 9, 2006, at the New Life Community Baptist Church, Gainesville, Virginia under the leadership of Pastor Frederick O. Jones.
Present and previous responsibilities at New Life include music ministry percussionist, new members and bible study class instructor, youth ministry leader, and worship leader. He has enjoyed preaching and teaching at revivals, church conferences, and morning worship services in Virginia, Delaware, and South Carolina. His daily declaration comes from Psalm 25:2 "O my God, I trust in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me."

Angela began her public ministry by preaching her initial sermon at New Life on November 6, 2016. It was there that she became a licensed minister under the tutelage of Bishop Frederick Jones. She has been blessed to sit under his leadership for over 20 years and is one of the founding members of New Life. At New Life, she serves on the ministerial staff and music ministry. She is also part of the teaching ministry serving as both Bible Study and Sunday School teacher. She loves the Lord and prays that she will advance the kingdom of God in all that she does.
